Simple things

Like eating a bagel with cream cheese & drinking milk while watching TV makes me soooo happy!

That dark merry go round of alcoholism is fading from my consciousness more and more each day that passes.

I try to remember the grimness of those old days as a reminder of how even a bad day today is good by comparison , something to be eternaly grateful for and usually puts me in a good mood .

Bestwishes, M

Yes the simple things are wonderful and it just keeps getting better

Just never completely forget the dark merry-go-round because a day will come when your addiction will try to convince you that you over reacted, one drink will not hurt, I can control it.

We do not need to live in the past just learn from it.

Hard to believe we thought we were enhancing our lives with that toxic venom.

It can sound trite, but it's true. If you take time to appreciate the small things, then you will get through the day with a smile.

Laughing til I cry (while sober!). I'd forgotten what that felt like. And in case you're wondering what caused it, just Google "Goats yelling like people."

I couldn't agree more. The other day I was playing with my youngest, and his laughter just got me tearing up, thinking it was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. I would have lost that if I was half-bagged.
