I am new to this forum. I am desperate for support. I have been off loritabs 20 days and feel like using tonight. I am frustrated because I made it through withdrawals and now I have the flu, for real(it hurts to cough) and other flu like/ withdrawal symptoms. I have no one else to turn too. I need a meeting, but scared to go back. Worse than my first meeting scared. I know I will have to change my sobriety date even though I haven't had a drink in almost 7 years.

HI Becks..you will get support here. Go to a meeting a date change..so what. Just go.. You will be glad you did.

Some days are like that, I know. Remember that it's still early.... I remember having lots of bumps in the road for a couple months after I stopped drinking, but the bad days don't last and they really do get fewer and further between. Things are going to get better - sometimes all it takes is a good night's sleep or two, and recognizing that we're still going through some chemical changes.

This is a great place - I'm so glad you posted tonight! Hang in there.

Wow 1st off No alcohol for 7 years, that is something to be very proud of.
And mostly I Pray for your strength to stay clean. Hears to a new 24 hours.

Thank you. I am totally balling my eyes out right now. It has been weighing heavy on my heart about this date thing. I know if I hear it enough times, I will go.
