I've fallen out of love. With alcohol I mean. It takes a lot and gives back very little in return. But here I am at day 12 and still thinking about it. I didn't post yesterday because I wanted to see how I would be. I now realise that I can't do this on my own completely and that reading and writing posts in this forum is becoming a very wonderful and positive thing in my life x

I think it's very important to have a place to go as well I still think about alcohol everyday..especially when something happens to stir up my anxiety..but I have been reminding myself of the end result of drinking to cope with unpleasant feelings..the buzz never lasted..and boy did I feel like garbage afterwards.. you made a great point there.. about ''falling out of love'' ...guess it's kind of the equivalent of ending a bad relationship...

I know its hard to "break up" with our dear love Alcohol. But it really is a one sided relationship. That gets hard to hold up on our end!
