Hi. I am on my 32nd day of recovery from drugs and alcohol. I was a heavy drinker for 14 yrs and the last 7 I was on Dr's script for Xanax. 3 mg a day plus 15 to 20 beers a day and more on wknds. Lucky to be alive. Went to a Recovery Center on Jan. 18th for two wks. and am very active in A.A. My brain is really off right now....trying to get back to "normal". It can get very frustrating at times with the memory lapses and the confusion feeling. I am very early on in my recovery, but I am very grateful already feeling that life is better than before! I just keep moving forward one step at a time!

Congrats on 32 days... I am going through the same stuff on Day 15. I am sure it has to do with GABA.....
