Thats really up you to if you don't feel happy with you're alcohol intake but you don't give us any detail on you're history of your daily drinking, the amount and why you do it.

If you simply Google "Am I an alcoholic?" there are any number of quizzes you can take. If you don't like your score on one test, you can try another one.

I think the main question is, once you start drinking, do you feel satisfied after one or two (in the manner of most moderate drinkers), or do you feel compelled to keep going? If you have the alcoholic tendency, each drink tends to lead to the next, likely until you are intoxicated. Maybe you won't get drunk today, or tomorrow, but eventually (inevitably) you will.

A more elaborate test is to set a limit on how many drinks you are not going to exceed in any 24 hour period, regardless of what is going on during that time. If you can do that for, say several months, you almost certainly have control over your consumption and for you, moderate or social drinking is safe. On the other hand, if you have the alcoholic tendency, you will simply not be able to sustain moderate drinking for an indefinite period of time. I tried this test many times and I was rarely able to make it more than a few days. For an alcoholic, abstaining for a period of time is possible, but maintaining control over drinking, once it starts, is not. At least that is how I define the problem.

Talk with your doctor and come up with a plan for stopping.

It's up to you to decide if alcohol is a problem for you. If you decide to stop, we are here to support you.
