Back Again

Back again. Drank 2 pints of vodka Wednesday and 2.5 yesterday. Needless to say, I feel like absolute s%it. I am truly at a loss and need to get some sober days under my belt ASAP. Any thoughts or encouragements would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

Good to have you back.

I'm not sure what your recovery plan is, or if you even have one. But perhaps visiting SR every day, would be a way to stay focused and accountable.

I've been there, my friend. Baffled as to why I drank.
What works for me, is to think that first drink through to the end and the misery and self-loathing it'll bring.

Best to you.

Glad you came back. Not sure how long you have been drinking again but you know where it will end up. Judging by your posts you had some good sobriety under your belt. It sucks but only one thing sucks worse, to keep drinking. Quit again today and worry about tomorrow when it comes.

Back again is better than gone forever. But no one knows how many chances they are going to get...

You should definitely come up with a relapse prevention plan, what you can do different, who you can call, ways to excuse yourself from a situation, and ways to find peace in yourself. One thought that has helped me through tough spots is this: everyone quits drinking. It's just better to do it while you're alive.
