Went to an addiction DR.

To get off the friggin Oxy.

Long story short. Was only doing 60-90mg a day, but that's all it takes to mess you up real good when you try and stop.

I went to the addiction Dr and he gave me 2 ways to do this.

1. Suboxone, which he didn't like because of all the ppl getting stuck on it.

2. The old fashion way, where he gives me things to help me cope, like valium an d some other things for pain and to help sleep.

I chose #2.

The first 2 days I slept through it with the help of the Valium and the other sleep agent he gave me.

I thought I was going to die , it was so bad at times.

Now at day 3 I was able to return to work. Don't ask me how I thought this was going to be at least 5 days. I think all the sleeping helped.

I can promise you this, I will never go through this again.

I write this in hopes others will seek medical help to get off the oxy.

Even though I'm just getting over this dope flu, I feel tremendous considering.

Thanks to every one.

Good for you not only for stopping but also for consulting medical advice before taking such a task on. The days will only get better as time goes on.

Music, I'm so glad you shared that because many people here have tried doing it on their own and often it's been way harder than it should be. Addiction is very prevalent today, many people are still out there hanging on to their addiction. Keep it up, glad you're feeling a bit better too.

Wise choice. I take it your taper plan didn't work out.

It rarely does. Detox is one thing. Are you seeking face to face support or a recovery program?

Thank you everybody.

I can't believe that only 72 hours into it I feel this good.Although the first 48 hours was complete hell, I couldn't even pick up a piece of paper.

I worked a whole day, 9 hours. it wasn't a hard either.
