Please pray I need help

Hi all. I'v been on here a couple of times before.

Anyway, I just got out of detox on Wednesday and drank today. I'm done I can't do this anymore. I'm going to a meeting tomorrow at 10am and 7:30. I'm doing 90/90.

The second it hit my body I wanted more. As they say 1 is too much a 1,000 is never enough. I can't do this anymore it's been 5 years of sober not sober. I'm now in a position where I won't see my kids (divorced) as my ex I knows that I'v been in detox and will want urine tests.

I must stop. I need your support. Thanks Russ.

Hi Sadhu,

Thanks for coming here when you need support.

The meetings will help, but recovery takes a lot of effort.

I'll pray fro you...

Welcome Russ - hit those meetings. Whatever you've been doing those last five years don't seem to be working. Get a sponsor and start working the steps.

Good luck and good vibes going your way.

Hi Russ,

You actually sound like you are in a good spot to go get help. AA meetings are where you will find recovery. You may also look into going into a rehab for 90 days as well. However, if you jump into AA, stick around after meetings, get phone numbers AND CALL THEM then you will get all you need through AA.

I hope you will keep posting on this link as I would like to know how you are doing and would like to support you, along with others here.

Prayer coming right up!

Sadhu, I'm on your side too. Try to consider ALL the different paths in stopping drinking; SR is great for this as the community has a so many discussions from people who are in AA, not in AA, those - like me for example - who sample various things (AA, SMART, AVRT, etc etc etc.). It's a broad 'church' if you'll forgive the expression. All are interested in simply getting, and staying sober. The latter is the hard part, and you're not alone at all on that.

I finally drank myself into willingness. I got back to AA, got into the center of the program, working the steps, talking to alcoholics daily and its like a dream. I never wanted to be a part of AA but now I see this way of life is my only chance for survival. Sounds like you are done drinking...
Welcome back
