First Time Here

I drink too much and can't seem to stop. Still hungover from last night.

I am slowly fading away.

Many journeys into sobriety have started where you are now. I have heard it said (and I am paraphrasing) that you can't think your way into acting differently, but you can act your way into thinking differently.
You need to take action, try anything and everything to stay sober. Change your routines. Don't pick up that first drink.

to the family! You're not hopeless. I thought I was hopeless for a long time but with the support of my counselor and the good people here I finally 'got it' and have been sober three years now when I used to be lucky to manage two days sober.

I'm glad you found us and joined the family. :ghug3

It's my first time here too and quite a scary feeling. I really want to be in control and do what's right for myself...this is the start and glad there's people to support and encourage us newcomers......
