Slept incredible last night

Im on day 35 sober and just wanted to say I slept for 8.5 hours straight last night. I haven't slept this good since my late teens(when I wasn't a drinker)

Just wanted to throw it out there because I've read so many posts in regards to sleeping issues......mine included

So just hang in there, it really does get better

Same thing happened to me. My first good night sleep was the first I had in about a dozen years. What a miracle it felt like. Now I get to sleep like that every night.

It is glorious and blissful, isn't it? And waking up with no regret, shame, or heavy head. I absolutely love starting my day now.

How long does it take? I am tired of 2-3 hours a night when drying out. Want motivation to get there. I am on day 2 right now and know tonight is going to be a battle trying to nod off.

I'm on day 35 and up until recently I was only averaging 4-5 hours of sleep a night and not continuous sleep. I noticed my sleep getting better the last few days......a couple nights ago i slept 6 hours and I thought nice it's getting better but last night was the 1st night of great sleep.....I hope it continues and I hope it doesn't take you a month sober to reap the benefits of good sleep but if it does it's well worth it

Mike,

Your best sleep came on Day 35, eh? Congrats! I'm on Day 31 and I'm just waiting for the sweet, sweet, uninterrupted, 9hr sleepathon to arrive. I just hit 6hrs a couple of days ago, so hopefully by the end of this week I'll be in sleep nirvana.

Kizzy,

Tell me about it! Seriously. How long does it take you to fall asleep? I used to be a champion sleeper. It would take me no longer than 10 mins to fall into a deep slumberous state. Now, it takes a couple of hours and maybe 1 book on tape. Ugh!
