Everything bleeds

Didn't sleep well at all last night. I also been feeling a bit edgy and numb. I spend my days In solace and eating all the best foods that I can. I'm thankful that this isn't anywhere near as bad the first time I stopped drinking. I feel that this is the last time I'm ever going to detox. Watching TV stresses me out... I cry at Mc Donald's and State Farm commercials!

I was highly emotional in the beginning too, Dimlit. It's perfectly normal - and it will get better.

Hang in there, Dimlitstar. I know you are struggling but you are not alone! You can do it one day at a time, or even one hour at a time. It will be worth it!

You can make this the last time you have to do this.

I echo, loudly, all the above posts. From the first sentence of the opening post my heart was singing.

Those first few weeks/months were tough..but I NEVER have to do that again. Today the choice is mine.. I don't have to ever ever do that again.

Neither do you!

Oh Dim, I'm so sorry, crying over McDonald's commercials sounds pretty rough to me.

Anna is right, you don't ever have to do this or go through this again. Keep your head up, keep posting, we're always here, 24/7. :ghug3
