Re: Extraordinary Unity
Ted, you said it. This community, with all its quirky components, functions with a singleness of purpose that blows me away. It's a place of refuge and of healing for those who want it. I am, like you, ever grateful I arrived here. Yeah Ted, staying strong!
Re: Extraordinary Unity
Ted, you're so right. I feel exactly the same way. The people here are some of the best, most generous people I have ever known. If there's an upside to being an addict, it's having the privilege of knowing all the people here at SR.

Very true Ted... I was inspired by the imidiate support I recieved from this forum and the good people here.... For the first time ever, I feel like I am not alone in my recovery process.. I still plan on attendign a face-2-face meeting down the road, but this board has been incredible for keeping me on-track !!
Thanks !!!

Re: Extraordinary Unity
I alway's love to see the newcomer. I"ve been around here a few day's now, and I am grateful to see what a beautiful world this place is even with us drunks and addicts. We HAVE arrived at the door, lost, hurt, beat up, whipped, lonely, depressed, and at the giving up point, but together we have a new found strength, courage, and ability to heal with our family here.
I never thought I would understand, peace, calm, contentment and happiness.

Re: Extraordinary Unity
I agree with all of the above . My life was saved by the people here on this site , I will NEVER forget my first week sober, and the strength and support I got here . I was extremely paranoid at the time, and I can vividly remember how important it was to me at the time , that I recieved responses to my pathetic posts ! lol
sad but very true .
I think we should all be proud of how we are so careful, and nurturing to each other .
