Dear Omnon...... I am a recoverying crack addict with 3 years of clean time behind me. You can do this, but not alone! And another thing.... He didn't pull you in.... You made that choice, to try it! And of course, you loved it! Who wouldn't right! I can still remember who "introduced" me to crack, but it was my choice to try it or not. Unfortunately I did try it....and for about the next 10 years I lost everything I ever had....especially my soul! This stuff took me so low that ...... I did ..... sell myself for crack. Within my recovery, I've had to forgive myself for doing that and soooo many other things......it sure wasn't easy!! I don't really know or remember exactly what "clicked" in my mind, but one day, 3 years ago..... I put it down and have never picked it up since. Do I ever want to..... No!!! I remember oh to well the horrid expierances that I had trying to get crack....but somehow, one way or another, I never went without. You really do need a support group. People who can "relate" to what you're talking about and how this stuff can bring you so low! Like I said, I am 3 years clean....and look where I am at!! Right here....on a recovery board. You never totally recover from any addiction. You just learn to live your life....to the fullest....without it! I wish you all the luck in the world! You can do this! Take on what you have done to yourself straight ahead....and your recovery will begin one day at a time. It takes time, don't rush it. Get a support group, come to this board a lot and always...have faith! I, along with everyone else on this board, will be here for you!!! Prayers being sent to you!!!
I just read your story Omnon - I am so pleased to read that you are 58 days clean - WAY TO GO!!! Crack sounds like one scary addiction - I hope you never pick up again. You deserve a good, long life.

PS - I hope you kicked Mr. Crackhead to the curb.
