60 days

Phew....made it sober 60 days! I've been there done that with being clean and sober followed by an eight year long relapse drinking. It is true what people say about getting clean/sober again; it is harder. The body and the mind have been damaged that much more. The troubles encountered because of drinking that much worse too. But here I am. One day at a time I do not drink....no matter what!

Congratualtions SoberClover. Yes, I know what you mean by it being rougher each time you take the sober ride. I am on my third trip on the sobriety tour. It was nothing compared to my first or second. I never want to go through this again.

Congratulations, soberclover.

I didn't drink for 13 years and then picked up and drank for 5 years. For so many years all I heard and therefore knew was "ODAAT" and that I was "powerless". Neither set right with me and both left me feeling fearful.

I came here one evening and learned about RR/AVRT. I was amazed at the shift in my thinking. I don't ever have to drink again and I don't ever have to change my mind. So I made my BP, I will never drink again and I will never change my mind. With that came and amazing clarity and peacefulness I had never experienced.
