Day 22 today - and a dream of caution

Woke up feeling fine after a dream of someone handing me my old favorite - double Johnnie Walk with a bit of ice. In the dream, without thinking, I take a sip. I don't go on a binge. I think the dream is telling me not to take anything for granted; keep my guard up; and be aware the alcohol is a seductive (no sexism intended) mistress. Have a great day, every-1.

Wait till you have a recovery dream where
you are confronted with a drink and you
begin telling them recovery and sobriety
is what is making you happy today.

I can totally relate. I havent had an alcohol related dream, But I have one related to cigs. I quit smoking about a year and a half ago and just last week had the dream. I was in my shop and just decided it a good idea to light up. It was so real I could taste that cool menthol
and I swear I got a head rush (Still a dream). It was real enough thet when I awoke I had a croup coulgh! I had to smell my hands to make sure it was not reality. of course it was not but the regret I felt it sure got me thinking. The reality of the dream is a blessing. One gets to expirence the pseudo pleasure and the regret, w/o ever having it happen in reality. That AV is trying to get at you in slumber as well as while lucid. Tough sucker to deal with sometimes.... -N
