Thanks for all the day 1 posts

Hello everyone...

Alcoholic here...

I've been sober this time since 1.7.13. Yep thats my date.....

Been going through some real rough family problems lately....

Reading today about all the day 1's out there makes me realize that my worse days sober are so much better then any of my day 1's.

Staying sober!

Wow, Gall, you've been here since 2008. Keep remembering why you don't want any more day 1's...

Congratulations on your sobriety. I am one of the "day 1s", starting again today. Keep on working hard. I felt like total poop this morning and am getting a little better.....I know I never have to feel this way again if I choose not to.

Yeah I've been here since 2008. Problem drinker since the 6th grade. Arrested for underage drinking at age 12..... I'm 40 now...

I'm lucky to be alive....

Agreed gall. I am sorry that you're dealing with family issues, I understand that also, my family has always been pretty dysfunctional and becoming an adult and trying to learn to change my ways after growing up in it, WHEW!!! It can be trying. Hope things get better for you, and congrats on the time you have so far, that's great!!

Congrats on your sober time (two weeks tomorrow, right?) I'm sorry things are tough with your family right now - that has to be hard, but you'll be glad in the end that you're dealing with it sober.:ghug3

Be good to yourself and take it a day at a time - you can do this!

It sounds like you're doing well. Try to keep boundaries so that you don't allow others to affect your sobriety.
