new to forum
Hey all....I am new to the forum but not to recovery......15 and a half years, ODAAT, going through many changes especially physically and having to change my parameters a bit. Live in an enthousiastic pocket of AA here in the southern part of the States but seem to be experiencing a bit of spiritual inertia: taking the whole world's inventory but mine....Lately have been feeling like a newcomer, don't wanna be lectured at, don't wanna hear about your Daddy Male God, wish Bill Wilson had written stuff differently, you know, the whole shebang and the full Monty of taking AA's inventory when I know damn well that AA saved my life and probably my soul. This too shall pass but would love to hear from others who past their first decade sometimes just get tired of hearing the same old same old.....
Welcome to the family, batgirl. There is something here for everyone, that's how I feel. I hope you find the encouragement and support that you're looking for. We're glad you're here.
welcome! not past a decade here, but have gone through it. thats when a change of meetings and new faces helped.
im not as smart as asome folks think, so whats enthousiastic?

Where it says in HOW IT WORKS "We stood at the turning point" .... I have stood there many times over the years.
Don C has a great YouTube video that explains his view on recovery. It may help you.

I know that feeling of being stuck.. spinning your wheels. I know I've got to go deeper into AA or get out. I always choose deeper.
Like an old couple renewing their wedding vows ....... do you know what I mean ??
All the best.
