Hi Ruth. Glad to have you. I am sorry you drank after 6 months. It's great that you are trying again. Sobriety is so worthy. Visit this forum often and read read read.

Hello Ruth. Good to see you are here. First off I agree with Natalie, Read read read. Secondly try not to beat yourself up to much about the slip. Just looking at the fact your here and I assume your starting over is a great sign. One day at a time. I try to remind myself about why I'm sober now. That is usually enough but there are days I need to call on my friends for support and I surround myself with other sober people or take in some activities that there is no access to anything. Enough rambling. Good luck to you.

Ruth.....I was sober two years and relapsed. Now 9 days sober.....this site is great! So much support. We can do this....one day at a time. Keep it simple...good luck:)

I can relate to the relapse! I was sober 13 years and relapsed. Eight years later I am getting sober again. Today I have 51 days. You can do this! This is a wonderful site for tons of information and support; I think it has made a big difference for me.

I recommend you look around - maybe join the Class of January thread? :)
