honesty has been the biggest relief I've gained in sobriety, and the greatest asset.

I am so happy for you.

Thumbs up

Becoming completely honest in all our affairs
is a process and takes time especially if you
don't wish to hurt or harm others in ur life.

When we first get sober or clean, we emmediately
want to erase the damage and harm we have
done to others along the way. We want to hurry
up and make right for the wrongs we have done.
In doing so we would do more harm than good.

I got sober in 1990 but it took many yrs later
to finally become completely honest in all my
affairs because i didnt want to hurt a suggnificant
other. Once I reached that honesty in my recovery,
it opened a door to a new freedom I had not
experienced before and what a blessing and
awesome gift I recieved and enjoying 22yrs.
sober today and for yrs. to come.

Oh, i do need to add that the longer it takes
for us to become honest in our life, the longer
we stay in our misery, unhappiness, bondage
of self and dont fully appreciate the gifts and
promises granted to us when living a program
of recovery each day we stay sober or clean.

Even tho I remained sober for a many one
days at a time, I wasnt really happy, healthy
and content with myself and life. Today I am
happy, content and blessed.
