I like the ideas in the article. I can't redo my adolescence, though, where many of my destructive behaviors and coping non-skills started (even before drinking). Did you read Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman? I haven't read it lately... several years ago... on paper it's great, but for whatever reason I can't lift the information out of the book and make changes myself. I don't know why some of us are like that.

I understand. I was just sharing my opinion. I have very strong feelings about some of the ideas presented as fact. Reading all kinds of material is wonderful; personally, I think one can never be too informed. I'm just saying, read with a critical eye...that's all.
