Hung Over Cities - top 25
CINCINNATI - New Year's Eve is a time for friends, fireworks and family. For many in Ohio, it also seems to be a time for bubbly. Lots of bubbly.

Ohio leads all states with five cities ranked in the top 25.
Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, Akron and our very own Cincinnati made the cut for cities with the “biggest hangovers.”
Business Insider found the Midwest represented many of the ranked cities.

It always amazes me how the media always portrays heavy drinking as something to smile at and even be proud of, nudge nudge, wink wink. This list and others I've seen - Best Party Schools, Best Bar Scenes, etc. - just go to show how misguided people are about the destructive power of alcohol. Can you imagine if similar lists were made about other, equally dangerous drugs that aren't as socially accepted? "Best City For Meth"; "Best Cities to Shoot Up In"? That would help put things in perspective, no?

Some areas do get reputations for other drugs, though--London, Miami and L.A. for cocaine, Vancouver BC for heroin, Medford OR aka Methford and so on.
This doesn't surprise me. I always thought there was something wrong in Ohio! Boring place and nasty weather don't help. Born and raised here, left for awhile, sorry I came back. Hope someday to move away again. I'm a beach or mountain person anyway.
