New Again

Hi everyone, I'm new again having done a pretty good job of humiliating myself. I found a sponsor, and get to make a new beginning. I was shown around to some meetings that are new to me, and have met more recovering people. It's a comfort to be able to talk to people that are seemingly un-shockable, and get a nod that says "I've been there." Messing things up is no glory, but witnessing others whose stories look very similar to mine tells me two important things: 1. I'm not alone 2. People like me have found a solution. That feels great. Hope to "see" you around... -Rick

Welcome back! You've summed up the feeling of the rooms perfectly. It's like finding a home filled with people who get you and accept you.

Hi Rick! I definitely agree that it helps to not feel alone. That's what I love about SR. Everyone understands what you're going through. I'm so glad you have your new beginning. You can do this!
