Nice to meet you all
Hey all, nice to meet you. Not an alcoholic but sometimes I feel I am completing the steps to being there.
I drink often and I get bad anxiety. I can however easily not drink say for a few days but then go back.

Sometimes it is easy to get bogged down with definitions - binge drinker, alcoholic, heavy drinker, alcohol abuser, alcohol dependent etc etc.
I just decided that by the time I had made my mind up, I could have ticked all the boxes, so I just agreed with myself that alcohol made me unhappy.
By coming here and reading and posting, I have got myself 325 sober days.
Most of the crippling anxiety is long gone.
I don't wake up at 3 am panicking and wanting to die.
I think I am overall a better person for it.
