Hello
OK, another weekend that started out with stress and sick kids, and each night was a bit more, then each morning was a bit more, then ended up making everyone not trust me. This roller coaster is ending today - trying some hypnotherapy, long walks, maybe a meeting. I have everything in the world to look forward to and the short joy and escape that the alcohol provides just isn't worth it any more.

Welcome blondsober. I like your attitude. It sounds like you're stopping at the right time. At the end of my drinking career it was never fun anymore - not worth the price I paid for very little enjoyment.

Thank you. I got a DUI almost 4 years ago, and learned so much. I actually enjoyed the 9 months of classes - maybe I'll go to a Lifering meeting tonight . . . but so far the hypnotherapy is trying to replace the fear with hope, and it's making me feel better all ready - I need my kids to love me again . . .

You're making a wonderful decision for you and your children. I found that I was much calmer and more positive after I stopped drinking.... it definitely affected my relationship with my children for the better.
