One Year Sober Today

Today I celebrate one year of sobriety. I am not the same person that I was a year ago, and that is a very good thing. I wake up in the morning happy to be alive. I do not have to worry about hangovers, my health or where my next drink is coming from. Today I am free!
This journey has been difficult at times, but I picked myself up and trudged on. It was sometimes two steps forward, one back. But all in all, it was always moving onward and upward. No regrets.
The rewards of sobriety are too numerous to mention, and everyday surprises me with a small miracle.
For those just deciding to give up alcohol, you can do this!!!
Take it one day at a time, get all the support you can and don't give up!!!
This community is my family and has helped me more than words can say...I am forever grateful. God bless you all! xo

Congrats! Welcome to the club! Literally, we have a one year and over club here that you can can now enter and exchange great wisdoms and lore of the great sober ones in our cyber club room. (the noobs think we are stronger, wiser, smarter, don't let on we are the same and just hung in there day by day, sometimes minute by minute, with a little help from our friends. Shhhhhh)
