A quick intro

Hi guys,
I'll try to be quick as I'm shaking that much at the moment I'm having trouble typing!
Basically I'm on hour 36 of codiene withdrawal and things are not pleasant as expected, I've been hot/cold for the last 24 hrs, constant smell of burnt rubber, severe flu symptoms, lack of appitite/nausea, diarrhea, nothing untoward there but I wasn't prepared for the smell, it's revolting!! And earlier I had a massive emotional moment for an hour or so, it just came from nowhere, tears, snot, the works!!
Background? 4 years intermittant use followed by a habit of 400mg for the last 6 months, not good I know but I think like most people I thought I was on top of it!! Oh and I'm Bi Polar too and on 1200mg Lithium, 300mg Seroquel, 200mg Limotrigine, whether that make a difference to my withdrawal I don't know!

Anyway there we go, I've read most of the advice thats available but if anyone thinks they could offer some pearls of wisdom I'd be very thankfull, I on my own at this end unfortunately mainly due to me wanting to keep things under my hat, I do have to say that I'm a stubborn devil though and for now my resolve remains strong!!!
All the Best

Jules

Welcome to SR Jules

I'm afraid I have no experience of what you're going through but hopefully someone else here does. Have you spoken to a doctor yet? x
