Emotions like a roller coaster

I'm at less than a week of sobriety and am noticing my emotions fluctuate at the drop of the hat... Small things, big things... Normally contentedness to sadness to frustration and back and forth...

Not a cryer, but have teared up a few times.... Then just can't let things go.

Anyone experience similar issues? If so, how did you handle them?

Yes, me too. Early recovery is an up and down time while your body and mind are healing from alcohol. Give yourself enough rest, good food, and sufficient exercise and you'll be feeling normal again. Just don't drink or you'll have to start all over again.

It's very very common TP :)

I'm not sure there's anything we can 'do' exactly - it's just a natural part of our minds and bodies healing I think - but never fear - I guarantee it's temporary....you will find an emotional equilibrium again :)
