day one is turning out to be tough kept thinking about drink so i had a bath (wish i had a Internet tablet so i can come on here lol) ... finished my bath and went downstairs to make tea only to find (as usual) my parents getting drunk and arguing .... oh the joys hope you guys are having a better night

Hi Paul! It is tough in the beginning, but we promise it does get easier as you go along. Once it's out of your system you'll begin to heal.

I found joining SR to be a lifesaver. I had felt all alone in this. My friends & family didn't have a clue why I couldn't 'just say no' - or just have a drink or two. When I came here I felt much less anxious - I never thought there'd be so many of 'me' to relate to. We are glad you're here - you can do this, Paul.
