Day 2

And I woke up singing. Bellowed out "DAY-OOOO!" while puttin in my contacts. Then "here comes the sun" was on the radio, and its lyrics made me cry with happiness.

I hope this is how it is everyday sober.

(Is this temporary? More dopamine in my brain now?)

Unfortunately its probable not going to be like that every day but you could always make a happy playlist and build it into your morning routine to give you a constant reminder of feeling good in the morning and starting your day off in the right way.

There will be days of challenges and this is where you need to be strong and committed to your choice.

I am on day six and feeling really good about my choice to quit. It's on my mind though and I have had dreams the last two nights about it. Coming here has been great and having a supportive partner gives me strength.

All the best with keeping on track.

Take care
Andrew

Love it, HereIAm. It's wonderful to be free of that burden.

I've seen others talk about the 'pink cloud' - but I never experienced that myself. I hope your happiness and positive attitude continue - be proud of this accomplishment. :)

Wow! I envy you. Remember that great attitude & positive vibe, even on days that don't start out so well. Kiwi's playlist idea sounds like it might be a good one.
