Tough night struggling but making it through

Really hard right now for some reason. Trying to keep a positive outlook. My kids are driving me up the wall crying and fighting all day. Usually I would reach for a beer and ....ahhhh feel better. I was so tempted to beg my husband to pick up some beer on the way home, but I didn't. Baby steps. Mother in law called today she left wine here after thanksgiving of course I drank that right away she wanted me to bring it to Christmas, Woops. That was fun explaining. Told her I would buy her more but husband and I arent drinking right now. Another day under my belt even if I struggled with it. :):wild:wild:wild:wild

Well done Karadawn. Can you find something else to reward yourself/ unwind with after a tough day. Not drinking isn't a punishment and you still get to do nice things for yourself. I would do stuff like have a bath and read magazines (my mind wouldn't stay still for books!) Or go for a walk to clear my head. Or just eating chocolate or something else nice... x

Good job, karadawn. The early days are so difficult, but once they're over you never have to go back to feeling this way. Proud of you for sticking with it. :)
