Just over 2 years. Things just keep getting better and better the more I continue to work at it!

To Itchy: love the Chesterton quote - "dragons can be beaten".

4 years in November.

Notice I joined SR in 2004. Do the math.

I spent about 10 years trying to moderate and/or minimize the damage and avoid consequences. I was very unsuccessful.

31 yrs since July 1981. I got sober at 24. I'm 55 now. As for counting, I like to count and rack up those years, lol. Quality is everything and longevity brings tons of sober living experiences. Awesome. Sobriety Rocks!!

For those early in sobriety, keep your eyes on the prize: freedom to be whom we are whenever and wherever we may find ourselves no matter the circumstances. Yeah, baby. Nothing beats being who we are sans alcohol and drugs!!

For those seasoned in their sobriety: remember before today could be, yesterdays had to happen, and tomorrows are always changeable. Its never over til its over!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

Just reached three years. Happier than I've been in a long time.

14 years 4 months and a bunch of days. And I don't miss any aspect of drinking at all.

I figure that's about 251 and half years of cumulative sobriety, plus or minus a few months. Not counting my two years, three months.

I think that's pretty outstanding! Mentally insert the celebratory smilie of your choice.
