Congrats on taking the first step and admitting that you have a problem and you need help.

Have you looked into support groups and/or medical treatment for detoxing?

Welcome-sounds like you're off to a good start-coming here and knowing that you want to change are key. Do you have any other plans for sobriety? If not, there is loads of info on this site...browse away.

We know what it's like to struggle with addiction. I remember having shaky hands, too, and the hangovers were awful. As hard as I tried, though, I just couldn't cut down and I certainly couldn't get sober on my own. It was such a relief to come here and find others who understood and knew how to help.
