I believe that the full moon is not until December 28...at least on this side of the pond.
UltraB...keep posting and reading, I hope it strengthens your resolve to stay sober and avoid the booze.

We are dealing with life and death issues and strong emotions are the norm but we need to only reach out our hands to those who wish to take it.

Well I guess it's in the eye of the beholder Xune. What is good advice to you sounds judgmental to me. If A person feels attacked I don't see how you can tell them not to feel that way. Each person experiences it differently. At the end of the day we can only hope that it all in the end comes from a good place but please keep in mind that some people might take it negatively if you tell them how they should feel. We feel what we feel.

Please copy and paste each of these into a search and read about them, they aren't AA. If you want online AA info, private email me.

You don't have to do anything in AA. The program of recovery is in working the 12 steps of recovery with someone who has worked them thoroughly, NOT in the meetings.

Each of these has their own website:

AVRT recovery

Rational Recovery

SMART Recovery

Women for Sobriety

Life Ring

Power to Quit

All alternative methods for staying stopped. Something will click with you.

None of these, including AA, has a monopoly on staying stopped.

Some people just use this website, Sober Recovery.

Eat well, drink water--even put a cold cup in the fridge and get up to get drinks, it gives you something to do between sips, rest when you can, treat yourself nicely.

There is no quick fix, although we want one.

Give time time.

Heal well.

I wish you well on your sober journey!

With love & hugs & lots of empathy,

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to offer help or hugs :-)

I think yesterday I was looking for some advice / support from a serial relapser (which is what I am) I know everybody takes a few times to get it right, but for me it must be my 100th time now.

I probably should have said that in my post!
