Ted - you sound so much more hope-filled... it has been a pleasure to read how this has progressed over the past couple of days. You have stayed clean minutes at a time for a good few now! And your persistence is getting you in where you need to go to begin the next part of the journey as it continues. I am glad for you and you give me hope.
Your "host" must love you very much, and she is blessed that you have the desire to stay clean for you, because we all know it wouldn't stick if it weren't ultimately for YOU... the promise of freedom awaits!

HELLO ALL,SLEEPLESS NIGHT,TO BE EXPECTED.ANOTHER EXCUSE I USED TO DRINK.I DID SAY EXCUSE!I KNOW THERE ARE NO EXCUSES TO DRINK,BUT BOY I HAVE A LIST OF THEM!IT'S GOOD I SOUND HOPEFUL,I DO FEEL THERE IS HOPE.I'M NOT WORKING RIGHT NOW,THANK GOODNESS FOR THIS PLACE.MY BOSS IS A REFORMED ALCOHOLIC,BUT SMOKES POT ALL DAY LONG!I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT WORKS.

How are things going today? Good for you, thinking about going back to school. I've already been to college and had a "profession", but now I stay home with my kids. Now I say, I wonder what I'm going to be when I grow up. I wouldn't mind going back to college and doing something new. Most of the things I want to do are in the medical field. They require clinicals, usually far away from where I live, and the schools aren't close either.
