Something gets stronger in me everyday without the poison.
I grow. I can be me without shame or regret. Its time for change and time to face life head on.
Im getting fitter, mentally, physically and spiritually.

That is simply and beautifully said, Miko67. That realization comes quickly that we can leave that shame and guilt behind us in a big stinking pile, and that that any life ahead of us will be better without alcohol. That feeling of relief and freedom was exhilarating, I think I felt like a toddler freed from the diaper right before bath time.

Along with this feeling of freedom is the return of self esteem and self respect that comes from finally taking responsibility and facing life head on - whatever it's going to be, we're doing it sober. Believe in yourself, your instincts, and your ability to do this once you put your mind to it. Yep, sobriety with ATTITUDE! Bring it! Booyah!
