One Week Ago
One Week Ago
Exactly one week ago to the minute, I had my (hopefully) last glass of wine, drank out of one of my kids cups to hide it
But I haven't drank since and have been to three AA meetings. It crosses my mind often but I already feel healthier and stronger. A future without my wine still makes me sad, but I'm learning so much from other people who have been there.

that's awesome... i think that first week is always the hardest
... but i really don't think that YOU are sad without wine, your addiction is. you won't be suffering, your addiction will be. nothing to be sad about.
i don't think that rationally you can justify being said but this kind of feeling is so so normal early in recovery. you'll see how much better it gets down the road.
enjoy

As the days go by and you feel better and better then your realise kicking wine out of your life is a great decision!..I quit it 2 1/2 weeks ago and the thought of wine actually revolts me now!
Keep going your doing a great job :-)
