I did things this morning! & it was GREAT!

I just wanted To share & start a thread on the little things we've accomplished this morning instead of being descustingly drunk or hungover.
I woke up @ 7am feeling good (both things NEVER happen) cooked a huge breakfast 4 son & the Husband(who is also sober w/me). Drove my son to school (im always too hung over or still drunk from the night before do do this). Then I made a beautiful jewelry box for a Xmas gift for mom. These tiny things would have NEVER happened two weeks ago. I've done more in these last two weeks of being sober than I have done in the last THREE YEARS!
Anyone reading this who is contimplating sobriety, JUST DO IT! before you know it, you'll be older & have waisted your life away. Be strong, & take one night at a time like I have. If I can say no to that first drink than anyone can too!

Hey betterthanbefor ,
Sounds like you're getting some good results . I know for me the return of deep sleep after a few weeks of all or nothing sleeping was wonderful .

Bestwishes, M

That's great you and your husband are doing this together. You have energy, you did something creative, did some nice things for your family, and have a positive outlook. Love it!

Just think of how many more mornings you'll have that are like this!!

Good for you, BTB!

It's good to see a positive thread amongst all this other "stuff." Matches the way I'm starting to feel these days. I think I'm slowly digging myself out of that deep, black hole I've been in for so long.

Here's a little thing I noticed today. I don't write checks much anymore, but today I had to. As I wrote it, I noted to myself how steady and flowing my handwriting was. It actually looked pretty decent when I finished. No more of that sloppy, jerky, choppy, out of control chicken-scratch scrawl that I had before. I like it...
