After perusing the Newcomers forum I head straight for Whiners Anonymous.

Can't just pick one. Have to go with the first 3.

24 hours available (seriously I feel like I'm on this site every waking moment), monthly support club has been a great help (like my own little support group) and the sharing of others stories have all helped me equally.

Cool thread.

1. Definitely it's availability of 24/7. This makes me feel I'm never alone, there's always a friend there for me no matter what I'm going through.
2. I love reading about all the reasons why people quit, I.e. Don't want any more of the pain etc, it just brings a reminder to me if I'm fancying a drink, when my brain says "just a couple", "it won't be like before; it won't be like that again". "life is dull without a little livener", etc etc.
3. Good, strong solid advice, always.

My January classmates are every bit as much family to me as if they were truly related. Dee is an amazing coach.
The commradre here is so amazing - I can't imagine not coming to SR for inspiration and as Inda says "Good Love"

Completely agree with elleelle and the 24/7 is awesome. Suffering terrible insomnia due to no alcohol and this forum has already helped to ease my mind

To me it feels like a friendly neighbourhood ,
there are those close to me ,
those i know to look at & say good morning to ,
those passing through i'm aware of,
the're people passing through who might be new friends .
There are also some people who've mooved away but i get the feeling they will pass down the street again soon .

I like to share and try and see if any of my experience might help others on their journey, it kinda brings some good from those experiences i had .

Bestwishes, M

This whole site is just so great. I've never tried online support b4. Being available 24/7 is great 2! So I don't have to pick up,the phone or a drink.

Its on my phone and thus with me at all times.

Everybody does their best to be helpful.

I was still welcomed after multiple relapses.

Great examples of people who have made sobriety work.
