Thanks everybody!!! Well if we're here then I guess we all traveled a similar road. I decided November 5th at about 4AM that it was time for me to reach out. I had been drinking about a case of beer a day for several months. I was unable to sleep much and had stopped eating. I knew if I didn't change right there I wouldn't see my niece grow up or my newphew be born next month. I went to my mom at about 430 and aske her to take me to detox. The first 2 weeks were extremely emotional after being released. There's still a lot of room for improvement but I've accepted the challenge. Doing things such as eating healthy, exercising, hunting and being with friends and loved ones has gotten me this far and back to being myself again in ways. I know the road ahead is long but by the grace of God I will traverse it.

Congrats on your 35 days sober - it's great that you decided to end the vicious cycle. I thought I'd never enjoy life without drinking - now I can't imagine going back to that misery.

Thank you! I can't imagine doing that again either. I can't believe I did that to myself and those around me. Man that was dumb and not fun at all
