New to this site... Although I signed up months ago and have been sober since 8/31/2001. I've been white-knuckling and have been too proud (ashamed?) to discover that I still need meetings - stopped attending regualrly after about 2 years of not drinking. I figured since I had spiritual grounding through my Church (I'm Catholic and fairly religious about it), I didn't really need the Flelowship any longer. That thinking carried me for a good long while. But...the simple fellowship of sharing with someone who knows what it means to be an alcoholic that has to arrest this disease daily has left a huge hole. Especially recently. Time to get back in the saddle again, I guess. Pax, Thomas |
Welcome Thomas :) You'll find a ton of support here. I hope you'll find us helpful and non judgmental too :) D |
Welcome BrotherThomas! It's humbling to hear that you still need help after a decade of sobriety. SR is a great resource. If I ever waver or forget just how bad things were before I quit, SR reminds me. |
Welcome to SR BrotherThomas :) x |
I'm glad you're here. I always feel like SR is home. |
