Today was rubbish!

Really bad day at work - boss is a complete idiot ! How do these people get in charge anyway ?? Must be a course where you learn to move from human to dip ship which is probably funded by me somewhere along line - grr

Had to put my foot to floor in car to get past supermarket as all I can think about is wine :-(

I ain't drinking - he will still be a idiot in morning whether I'm sober or not!

Ugh - rant over - plus side I'm day 16!

I am usually a weekend drinker - but in the past few years I had found myself drinking a whole bottle of wine at least one week night because my job is stressful too and I cannot believe how ignorant and just plain dumb some people are. Of course, I am realizing that the bottle of wine does not make the dumb people disappear - they are still there waiting the next day and now I have to deal with them with a headache. SO congrats on Day 16 and on getting through the day! working on day 10 here.

You're right...you get drunk--he won't change. But the way he affects you sure would change if you had a hangover...right? Dealing with it head on & sober is better than cowering behind a massive hangover & headache...

i thought that in england the proper thing to say would be 'today was pants!' seriously though, 'he will still be a idiot in morning whether I'm sober or not!' is one of the smartest things i've read. so simple but so true. i hope tomorrow will be a better day and congratulations on day 16!

Day 16! Yey brilliant work! He cannot and you will not let your manager affect your sobriety. You have the power, not him.

You will feel so good tomorow morning when you know you handled it so well .

I think in the early days of sobriety a lot my mood was effected by actually being tired and exhausted . I found going to bed early, a long shower and having clean sheets on the bed made me feel so snuggly and it was a good way to stop the urge to go down the supermarket as i was in bed .

Bestwishes, M

I just read Mecanix's signature " Ups and downs still happen, it's how we deal with them that counts." Sounds like you handled the day perfectly! Congrats on 16 days!!

Never try not to be a little englander - I love it! It makes me smile and makes it easier for me to deal with my daily dip ships
