I'm 54 years old been married for 28 years. My husband has started drinking again, when I confront him he lashes out verbal abuse, telling me nothing wrong with what he is doing,I get blamed for the arguments. he yells how much he hates me wish I would drop dead, does all this when he is drinking. I dont know what to do . All I do is cry , he doesn't ever say he is sorry next day, he just lays the blame on me. I walk on egg shells constantly , we he comes home he says he only has had one beer, find it hard to beleive one beer can effect someone like this.how do I handle it , so scared he is going to have a wreck and hurt a innocent person.

Have you ever checked out alanon?
Is there anywhere you can go when he is like this, to just not be around it?

He's sick. Needs help. And you need to be protected from him. Have you anyone you can turn to for help? Any family near you? Any social services available to advise you? Please stick with this SR website as there's lots of wisdom here. Stay in touch.
