Alcohol-Free / Non-Addictive Sinus Meds
Hey all,
Since the weather has gotten colder, I've been suffering from congestion sinus drainage issues that won't seem to go away on their own. Specifically I've got a terrible post-nasal drip and a pretty bad cough.
I went to see my doctor earlier this week and he recommended a combination decongestant and a cough medicine (Nyquil) that has alcohol in it. Obviously I don't want to take that, so I'm wondering if there are some alternatives that are alcohol-free / non-addictive that will actually work well.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I should mention that I've tried tylenol cold/flu and it does nothing for me.

the old Vicks Vaporub into a bowl of boiling water with a towel over my head cleans up my sinuses a treat...it's not a remedy for everyone tho
I think you're best to ask another doctor or your pharmacist if your Dr is not being helpful.
Whats worked for others here may not work or may not be suitable for you.
