Emotional Outburst
Thank you all for your love and support. So much good advice! Today is Day 7 and I'm feeling SO much better. Yesterday afternoon you all lifted me up. Then I called my sponsor and broke the news to her She wasn't surprised.
I then went to an AA meeting and felt great when it was over. It's the first meeting I've been to in weeks, however, this time I was really sober. For the past 6 months I've been going to meetings but secretly drinking. I felt like such a fraud.
Anyway, the meaning of this post is to say THANK YOU. You have helped more than you will ever know. You all rock!!!
I'm off to day 3 of outpatient. I feel prepared to meet my emotions. It may be uncomfortable but it's necessary.

I think its great that you are doing something that you know you need but is hard and unnatural (rehab). Group therapy has been suggested by my therapist and it sounds like something that would help but it sounds scary as heck, so I commend you for attending. I will take your actions as inspiration.
Congrats on the 7 days, it does feel so much better not to drink, remembering that is the hard part.
