Sounds like perhaps you and the wife could use a date night away from the little ones! These are daily frustrations, as you know, and they will be around whether we drink or not but everytime I face things (big and small) in sobriety I learn from them instead of repeating them and I become stronger.

Deep breath! Props to you for not doing the wine and coming to SR instead!

thanks !

Think the walk helped - black mist lifted slightly - first time in 11 days I nearly cracked

Usually when I stressed first thing i did was drink - progress!

House contents insurance will sort that fella.

My kids managed to spill a full bottle of coke over my work laptop and totally destroyed it. I did drink after that, and I drank when the claim was accepted by the insurance company and I drank when the new laptop arrived. Those were the old days though.

Well done on not drinking.

Bruno.

You had a close call and you held up and said "NO". That's worth a lot more than any piece of electronics! Contratulations. Sorry about your I-pad, tho, that does suck a little, lol.

Drinking will not fix or replace anything broken. Drinking will break you however, in more ways than one. Good job..this too shall pass...

Good work on not drinking, Rainy.

Like that Bruno: I drank when something happened, I drank when the repercussions happened, I drank when things improved, I drank when everything was ok. Sums up the absurdity of our behaviour! Doh!

I'd be upset too!!! Good for you for not turning to booze to deal with the stress.
It happened at a good time of year. Now they all know what you want for Christmas Seriously though, hope insurance covers it-those suckers are expensive!

Hi Rainy. Glad you got over that hurdle. Alcohol doesn't really help us cope, we just imagine that it will. All it does it complicate matters and set us back. Proud of you for handling it the way you did.

Great stuff resisting the urge. Keep it up, just dismiss that thought immediatly should it ever raise it's ugly head again.

Sorry about your ipad. Bummer but to you!
