All inclusive holiday
Hello I am new to this, keep falling off the wagon but determined this time!does anyone have any tips for getting through a weeks all inclusive? I am going in 2 weeks and am scared of picking up a drink...
Welcome to SR.
Sorry, I've got no advice. I didn't have to face such a challenge. Hypothetically, I couldn't do it and probably would cancel if I was serious about not drinking. I had to make some extreme changes in my life style for this current stint of recovery to work.
Wish you luck.

I went on an all inclusive boat with about the same period of sobriety as you will have.
It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. I just told myself I wasn't drinking, that nothing was going to stop me from being sober. I enjoyed the holiday more than any other holiday I've had... had lots of fun and no sore heads in the morning.
My way of getting through it was heading off to bed if I was finding it difficult.

Me too.
I did all inclusive in September.
Did not drink a drop.
I just told myself that I was there to have a great time with my family and that drinking would spoil it. I was also there to relax and re-energise myself. Drinking at every opportunity would not help be feel good when I returned from holiday.
I did watch and notice other drinkers which I think helped.
No-one seemed to be blackout drunk like I used to get! Most had a couple. So it confirmed what I knew really!
There was one couple, man and his wife, who everyday sat at the same table from the same time in the morning until the same time at night. They never, ever moved. Their table (right next to the bar) became overflowing with pint glasses and cigarette ends. It made me feel quite sick looking at it to be honest. I am glad my holiday was not spent like that.
I also did not stay in the hotel all the time. I found getting out for a walk made me feel less like an animal in a compound.
It was honestly not as hard as I thought it was going to be I promise.

Welcome
I can only give you my point of view.
If I was having problems staying sober, I had two weeks this time and I was scared I might drink?
I couldn't in all conscience allow myself to go KF.
