New Boy.
Hello all. I am new to this site and from a very cold England. I have been a heavy drinker for the last 15 years and drink dependant for 2 years. I have been completely sober for the last 32 days and can feel my health improving on a daily basis. I would just like to say I have found many of the posts very helpful and hope to make a few friends to help my recovery.

Congrats on your Day 32! Isn't it amazing how much clearer your brain gets over time without the alcohol. I can't personally attest to that today since I'm only beginning my Day 2 journey but I'm on my way.

I live in San Diego so we get lucky with the winters here but... I'm still an alcoholic in the sunshine or the cold. Lol. When I moved here I thought, now I'll be able to be happy in California where it never snows! Lol. Didn't happen. Happened when I started to get sober and got a program. I still prefer a warm day to a chilly one though. Stay bundled up!

Welcome English and a huge congrats on your 32 days. I'm on Day 4 and already feeling a bit better.
I only joined SR today after lurking for a while. This is such a supportive and inspirational place! We'll all take this journey TOGETHER.
