Made it 7 days

Today is seven days sober. Each day there is a point when I start to rationalize having 'just one,' now that I've shown myself I can do this. But I wait, and the craving goes away.

It feels so good to wake up clear-headed, remember the night with my family, and not need a drink on the way to work to keep the shakes at bay.

Had a date last night, and didn't feel like I had to explain why I was drinking soda. The night went great and I didn't have to struggle to piece together the evening in the morning.

I can do this. I don't want to be where I was a short (long?) seven days ago.

This site has been tremendous to show me that there is a huge community of support. Thanks!

Nice, if your patient enough to give sobriety a chance it only gets better and better.

Congrats Bettersober!!!

If I may suggest something? Cravings are physiologically caused by your body craving the sugars in alcohol. Go load up on a bunch of candies, and pop one of those whenever you get a craving. You will be amazed at how it curbs it.

Keep up the great progress!
