Stupid question
Lots of people come here drunk.
I was half cut myself the first day.
It's kinda the whole reason we're here.
A recovery board full of sober folks is only half the story.
As long as people are respectful of what we do here, I don't see there's a problem.
If it offends or triggers anyone, don't read the thread.

Thanks Dee, I'll leave out the the really unfortunate parts of my life.. but i could say this, being drunk is just as painfull as being sober if not worse.. (assuming your health is good). face it, just about everyone most people know, drink, so hangin with them is uncomfortable for me to say the least, yea, the doc gave me something to relax, but it's not the same, so saying sober is hardest in my opinion because everyon else is driniking and on another level..
OCD, I used to think everyone drinks too, but that was my selective environment. I just looked this up:
"36 percent of the U.S. drinking-age population abtains from alcohol, according to a 2006 Gallup poll. Over the past 60 years, the percentage of teetotalers has ranged from 29 to 45, according to Gallup"
Even if some folks are fibbin' and the percentage is more like 25, thats still 1 in 4. Higher than I thought it was.
I'm trying to put myself around more of the non-drinkers; being around moderate drinkers is the hardest and being around drunks is somewhat easier because it reaffirms my sobriety, but still isn't safe.

Hang in there man. Being intoxicated, unhappy, and feeling alone is definitely something many of us can relate to...I sure didn't grow up hoping to be an alcoholic, that's for sure.
Keep coming back. This is a great place to start.
