Happily ever after

What happened to the boy that got everything he ever wanted?

He lived happily ever after.

That's from willy wonky. That line stuck in my head from the first time I heard it as a kid.

What if the only thing this boy wants at 46 is to never have to worry about drinking again.

Will I also live happily ever after?

I think so. I know so.

Not drinking or drugging is not a fairy tail. It's painfully real. And the one thing I desire. Everything in my life hinges on this one thing.

The contrast of drinking to not drinking. Babbling fool to just a fool.

In my opinion, happily ever after is way undersold. I convinced myself its not possible but yet as each passing sober day comes and goes its right there in front of me.

That's pretty awesome!

I used to dream of what life would be like when I got sober.
So...it's nothing like that - LOL - but it's better.

I've gained gifts and benefits - and growth - I not could even begin to imagine when I was still drinking...

I definitely do think it's happily ever after Ken

You are so right that is pretty awesome and the old timers tell me it only gets better. I have always said, "If this was as good as it got I could live with that." Getting better? I do not know if I can stand that

I like that post Weasel. Very much so. I might have it as my epitaph: ....and she lived happily ever after.
